About Us

The National Hustle is a project that welcomes the contributions of many sources and readers to fill the ever-present demand for relevant, insightful information and resources.  While we provide knowledge and commentary from both formal and informal channels, the primary driving forces behind this site are two long-time friends, Matt Andrus and Cameron Wagner.

Principal Contributors

Matt Andrus Matt @ The Capitol

Currently based in San Francisco, Matt is a graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly) with a degree in Business and recently completed the Sport Management graduate program at University of San Francisco.  Matt is a CPA with a career in public and private accounting and is currently employed in the sports industry.

In his spare time, Matt likes to travel, read (disproportionately non-fiction), and write (never often enough).  A politically left-leaning Centrist (according to theadvocates.org), Matt’s views have been largely shaped by his appreciation for the principles of the U.S. Constitution and his parents’ credo “Speak when a voice is needed.” While maintaining strong personal values, Matt is a self-described “info-geek” who understands the limitations of his current knowledge and always welcomes an introduction to a new line of thinking.

Cameron Wagner Camo in action

Currently residing in the greater Los Angeles area, Cameron is a graduate of Cal Poly, with a degree in Political Science and a concentration in Public Administration, he has managed to do nothing even remotely related to his course of study, and currently serves as a sales representative for a large coatings manufacturer.

In his spare time, Cameron enjoys music (both listening and creating), reading (almost entirely detective novels with the odd Playboy “article” thrown in), photography, and long walks on the beach (seriously!).

A baffling mix of libertarian values and socialist utopian ideals, Cameron’s political affiliations defy definition and are constantly evolving (He loves to be sold!).  Cameron likes to attack political controversy with as little actual knowledge and as much irony as possible and promises to provide an entertaining counterpoint to “info-geeks” everywhere.
